A fully 3D-printed kit for experienced modelers of the American airfield loader for bombs and external stores, the MJ-1C Jammer, in 1:32 scale from Reskit. Unlike the release that covers the MJ-1B/C variant, this one is aimed specifically at the modernized MJ-1C version. The package usually also holds several types of bomb pallet carriers, optional tire parts and decals, for a faithful accessory both to the aircraft and to an airfield scene.
The MJ-1 Jammer is a low self-propelled hydraulic loader of the US Air Force with which ground crews lift bombs and other external stores and hang them under combat aircraft. The MJ-1C version is a later modernized form of a proven machine that has served since the end of the 1950s, through the Vietnam War and the Gulf War, up to present-day deployments. It is a small piece of airfield equipment, indispensable when preparing an aircraft for action.
With a resin and 3D-printed kit, first wash the parts to remove uncured print resin, cut the print supports away carefully and wear respiratory protection while sanding. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and dry-fit the parts. Apply a primer before painting, lay the strong yellow down with an airbrush and bring the whole to life with dust and oil traces of service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
