A colored display board for a model with the motif of a helicopter landing area. The load-bearing part is an acrylic board 3 mm thick and 280 x 180 mm in size, that is 28 x 18 cm, weighing 170 g. The board is stiff, does not sag under a model and its weight will keep it lying still even on a smooth shelf. A model is simply stood on it; there is no need to glue it or modify it in any other way.
FAUN Trackway is the name of a portable roadway that armies roll out on soft or muddy ground wherever the earth has to be firmed up quickly and without construction work. Besides roads and parking areas, an improvised helicopter landing area is made from it too, as the name of the item indicates. For a model this means a highly characteristic base with a regular pattern, which places the machine in field conditions at once.
If the board is protected by a film, take it off only just before displaying it, so that the surface is not scratched. Wipe dust and fingerprints off with a soft dry cloth. Thinners and aggressive cleaners have no place on acrylic; they dull it and can damage the motif. Stand the helicopter so that the skids or the wheels rest on the artwork with their whole face. Double-sided adhesive pads, which can be taken off without a trace, will serve against shifting.
