Self-adhesive grass tufts from the Wild Shapes range, 2 mm high in a parched-land blend, for dry and sandy scenery.
Responsibility details are not available.
Low tufts of grass fibers two millimeters high on a backing sheet, with a self-adhesive underside. The color blend carries the name parched land and aims at the places where growth fights for water: at cracked soil, at the sandy edges of paths, at rocky terrain and at dusty compositions with vehicles. Sparsely scattered tufts will give such a scene scale without turning it into a meadow.
Lift a tuft off with tweezers and press it onto a dry surface free of dust; on loose scatter, add a drop of PVA glue (white glue) underneath. In a parched scene leave large bare areas between the tufts and place the clusters where moisture would be held in nature, that is in hollows, at the edges of stones and in wheel tracks. Work the root area in with fine scatter or a pigment, so that the tuft does not stand out like a glued-on island.
Two millimeters correspond in 1:35 scale to about seven centimeters of real height, in 1:72 scale to roughly fourteen and in 1:16 scale to only three. Low growth sits well beside figures and small accessories, because it does not cover them.
A base, terrain support, scatter, pigments and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
