This is a set of classic water-slide (wet) decals in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker OWL. The set brings color markings and codes for the German Heinkel He 219 A-0 Uhu night fighter, among them the fuselage codes DV+DL and G9+DC. It is not a kit or plastic parts, but an accessory for finishing and refining the surface of your model.
The Heinkel He 219 Uhu was a twin-engine night fighter of the Luftwaffe deployed from 1943. It stood out for its powerful radar and heavy gun armament, and as one of the first production aircraft it was fitted with ejection seats. It carried the nickname Uhu, meaning eagle owl, after its night role and was a feared opponent of the British bomber streams.
First varnish the surface under the decal with a gloss varnish, so that the markings adhere perfectly with no silvering. Dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing onto the model once it has released and blot the excess water away. A decal softener will help it settle, and finally varnish the whole model with a matte or semi-gloss varnish according to the look you want.
