Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks from Art Scale in 1:48 scale for the Japanese Mitsubishi Ki-21 bomber in the Ib version, known to the Allies as the Sally. It is not a kit but an accessory to a model. The designation double-sided means the double-sided version, that is for the outer as well as the inner side of the glazing. Thanks to that the frames can be painted with the interior color from inside and with camouflage from outside, which on a bomber with extensive nose glazing is a clearly visible difference from the one-sided variant.
The Mitsubishi Ki-21 was a twin-engine heavy bomber of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force, designated the Type 97. It was first used over China and stayed in service throughout the war in the Pacific, where it turned out that it lacked armor and defensive armament. The Ib version brought strengthened defensive armament and changes to the wing. The glazed nose and the dorsal gun position are among its most characteristic features.
Wash the glazing and let it dry. First paint the frames from inside with the interior color, let them dry and only then move on to the outer side. Press the edges of the masks down with a blunt tool so that paint cannot get underneath. Spray thin coats. Lift the mask off as soon as the paint has flashed off, as the edge separates less well from a fully cured film.
