An add-on set in 1:35 scale from Firma49, meant to complete models of military vehicles. According to the name it contains parts for the towing cables of British vehicles, that is the end fittings onto which you thread your own cable. This is not a kit, but a detail accessory for a model you already have.
Practically every tank carries a towing cable on the hull and British vehicles are no exception. In kits the cable tends to be molded in one piece together with the eyes, so it has the shape of the given mold and looks stiff. When the plastic eye is replaced with a separate part and a braided thread or a thin wire rope is run between them, the whole thing gains the right sag and the cable can be laid exactly as the real subject shows.
First mark out the position of the brackets on the hull, and only then cut the cable to length. Fit the end fittings dry and check that the cable does not overhang the outline of the vehicle anywhere. The joint between the cable and the eye is the weakest point, so reinforce it with super glue and let it cure properly before you start painting. A finished cable is well set off with a dark shade in the hollows and a lighter cast on the crowns of the braiding, so that the structure stands out.
