This item is not a vehicle kit but an aid for painting. The set from the SX-Art brand is cut for the M1224 MaxxPro armored vehicle in 1:35 size, with Bronco as the target kit, and it takes care of the places that are to stay free of paint after spraying. On MRAP class machines these are mainly the large panes of the cab glazing, the main headlights and the optical instruments.
The MaxxPro is an American wheeled vehicle of the MRAP category, that is a machine designed against mines and improvised explosive devices. Its distinguishing marks are the V-shaped bottom of the hull, which directs the blast wave out to the sides, the high-set armored cab and the exceptionally thick vision blocks for the crew. Machines of this type appeared in American service in Iraq and in Afghanistan and most often carried a uniform desert shade, rounded out by a machine gun cupola on the roof.
Set the mask onto the parts before you lay down the base coat, and smooth the edges carefully with a toothpick or the blunt tip of a pair of tweezers. Then spray the paint in several thin layers; a single thick coat is the most common reason for the shade getting under the edge. As soon as the coat is touch-dry, remove the mask, because on fully cured paint the edge breaks and tears.
