1:32 Paint mask Spitfire Mk.I K9795 White 19 is a masking set tied to a particular machine of prewar production with a prominent white number 19 on the fuselage.
Responsibility details are not available.
An SX-Art masking set in 1:32 scale. Unlike general sets, this one is tied to a single aircraft: the name gives the serial K9795 and the designation White 19. It serves for painting a model; on its own it contains no model.
Serials of British military aircraft beginning with the letter K belong to machines ordered in the first half of the 1930s, and K9795 falls into the very first production batch of Spitfires. The nineteen on the fuselage refers to No. 19 Squadron, which as the first Royal Air Force unit took the Spitfire on in 1938 and brought it into service at Duxford. Prewar machines carried large white unit numbers, because in peacetime what mattered most was easy identification on the airfield; as war drew nearer this practice quickly faded in favor of discreet two-letter codes.
For modelers who want to build a named machine and not a general representative of the type. Being tied to a particular serial also means checking in advance whether this is the machine you want: for other machines of the same squadron the brand makes separate sets.
