Female-Female Connector For Wooden Tracks is a connector from PLUTON with two sockets that joins two track pieces ending in a peg.
Responsibility details are not available.
Wooden tracks have a peg at one end and a socket at the other, and that is exactly why two pieces sometimes end up turned toward each other with the same end. The connector with two sockets from PLUTON solves this case: it is fitted between two pegs and joins them. The accessories of the brand are made by 3D printing.
When assembling larger layouts it happens that a circuit cannot be closed, because the last two pieces face each other with identical ends. There tend to be two solutions: rearrange half the track, or have an intermediate piece at hand. The second route is faster and above all a child can manage it alone, which is a significant difference when building on the floor. It serves equally well when a peg on one piece breaks off and a spare track is not at hand.
Before buying, look at how the tracks you have at home are finished: you need the piece opposite to the one your track lacks. Fit the joint in line and without levering; wooden edges are delicate when twisted. On heavily used tracks the socket tends to be widened, so the joint holds more loosely and it is a good idea to check it after rearranging. The number of pieces in the package and the dimensions are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
