Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Clarktor-6 airfield tug in the MILL-44 version with dual rear wheels, in 1:32 scale from Thunder Model. The kit offers a richly broken-up engine, a well worked out chassis and interior, rounded out by photo-etched parts and soft rubber tires. Several marking variants make it possible to place the tug in various period scenes.
The Clarktor-6 was an American heavy airfield tug built from 1942 onward. It served to tow aircraft and freight carts on Allied airfields and became so widespread that there was practically no Allied airfield without a Clark tug. The higher-powered version also went into service with the Royal Air Force. It is a rewarding companion to aircraft models and to airfield dioramas alike.
Finish and paint the engine and the chassis before the body is closed up, so that the detail comes out. Glue the photo-etched parts with a super glue. Keep aggressive thinners away from the rubber tires. For weathering, washes into the recesses and dust pigments on the lower parts and the wheels work well.
The model comes unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
