The plastic kit German C8 artillery tractor (captured) with the 7.5 cm Pak 40, 1:35 from Gecko Models: a captured British 4x4 tractor in German service with an anti-tank gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale by the manufacturer Gecko Models depicts the captured C8 type 4x4 artillery tractor in German service together with the 7.5 cm Pak 40 anti-tank gun. It was originally a British vehicle that the Germans captured and put into service as the so-called Beutewagen (captured vehicle). The kit is complemented by photo-etched parts and decals.
The C8 tractor was a British fully driven 4x4 off-road vehicle with a short chassis and large wheels, built from the end of the 1930s. It served mainly as an artillery tractor. The Germans used captured vehicles for towing and supplying guns, among them the very 7.5 cm Pak 40 anti-tank gun they were feared for, which could destroy most Allied tanks of its time.
Finish and paint the running gear and the cab interior before closing the body up. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). With captured hardware a combination of the original and the overpainted markings looks good. For weathering use washes into the recesses and dust or mud pigments on the wheels and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
