Aber 1:35 turned 130 mm B-13 barrel for the SU-100Y is an accurate replacement barrel for the model of the Soviet self-propelled gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
A standalone accessory in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is not a model but an accurately turned replacement barrel for the Soviet 130 mm naval gun B-13, with which the prototype self-propelled gun SU-100Y was armed. The turned barrel replaces the plastic part from the box and offers a perfectly round cross-section and a crisp muzzle.
The SU-100Y was a Soviet experimental heavy self-propelled gun built on a chassis derived from the T-100 tank. It carried the powerful 130 mm naval gun B-13 and never went beyond the prototype stage. The long barrel is the most conspicuous feature of this machine, and an accurate rendering of it markedly improves the look of a model.
Clean any burrs off the turned part and degrease it. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) to fit it to the plastic mounting. If small photo-etched additions are included, work with tweezers. Lay down a suitable primer before painting, so that the paint holds on the smooth surface.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
