Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic set of figures of German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger) in 1:35 scale, set in the fighting for the Netherlands in the spring of 1940. The figures in jump equipment with period weapons bring dioramas from the beginning of the Second World War to life. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the exact number and the poses of the figures are given in the instructions in the box.
At the start of the war the German airborne units belonged to a new kind of troops that were carried to the battlefield through the air, by parachute or by glider. In the campaign into the Netherlands in May 1940 they were committed to seizing airfields and bridges behind the defenses. What is typical of paratroopers is the jump smock, the brimless helmet and specific equipment that differs from ordinary infantry.
Glue the figures with thin cement for plastic and clean the joints up carefully. Paint the jump smocks in gray-green and earthy tones, the helmets flat, and set the equipment and the leather apart with shades of brown. A wash into the folds and a fine accentuation of the edges give the figures depth and relief.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
