Eduard 1:35 A.S. 51 Horsa Glider Mk.I is a photo-etched detail set for the British assault glider. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard, meant to refine the kit of the British Airspeed A.S. 51 Horsa Mk.I assault glider in 1:35 scale. It adds the fine features that injection-molded plastic cannot capture. It is not a model of the glider but an accessory for a kit.
The Airspeed Horsa was a British military transport and assault glider of the Second World War, towed behind a transport aircraft and released over its target for the silent delivery of troops and materiel. It was deployed in the great airborne operations, among them the Normandy landings. Its roomy fuselage took paratroops as well as light equipment.
The bare brass photo-etched parts are separated with a knife, bent over an edge and glued with super glue. Degrease them before gluing and spray them with a base coat once assembled. Fit the inner equipment and details before you close up the fuselage, because once it is assembled they are harder to reach.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
