An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian B1 Centauro wheeled fighting vehicle in the form of the early version of the first series with the ROMOR applique armor package. The set holds parts in hard plastic, rubber tires, photo-etched parts and a decal sheet; the model is built from individual parts and calls for gluing and painting.
The Centauro is an Italian wheeled tank destroyer in an 8x8 layout, developed for high mobility and quick movement by road. In the turret it carries a gun of 105 mm caliber. The ROMOR applique armor raises the protection of the hull and the turret against rounds from hand-held anti-tank weapons and was fitted for service on foreign missions. The vehicle serves with the Italian army and is typical for its long eight-wheeled chassis.
With wheeled vehicles we recommend assembling and fine-tuning the chassis and the axles first, and only then closing the hull. Fit the applique armor panels carefully and dry. An airbrush and a base coat (primer) suit the finish, and for weathering use washes and pigments for dust and mud effects on the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
