This set brings faithfully made barrel cleaning rods with their holders for the German heavy tank Tiger II (Königstiger) in 1:35 scale. The parts are made by the Elefant brand by 3D printing and casting in resin. It is not a tank model but a detailing accessory that replaces the simplified plastic parts from the box.
The cleaning rods served to maintain the bore of the long barrel of the 88 mm gun and were carried in holders on the hull of the vehicle. Faithfully made rods and brackets break up the bare surfaces of the model and add authenticity to it, especially once painted and weathered.
Separate the resin parts from the casting blocks, clean them up and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the metal sections as steel with a hint of wear and render the wooden brackets as layered wood. Protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
