A resin replacement barrel with a rendered protective canvas over the gun mantlet for the early form of the German StuH III assault howitzer in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle kit but a detail accessory, which replaces the plastic part and adds a realistic fabric cover over the gap of the mantlet.
The StuH III (Sturmhaubitze 42) was a variant of the StuG III assault gun armed with a 10.5 cm howitzer, meant for firing on fortifications and supporting the infantry. The crews often covered the gap of the gun mantlet with a canvas cover protecting the moving mounting from dirt and weather.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and clean the mating surface up. Bond with super glue, and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Pick the fabric canvas out with a dark wash into the folds and a dry brush on the edges.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, nor glue or paints. It is meant for completing an existing kit.
