Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet multiple launch rocket system BM-21 Grad on the cross-country Ural-4320 chassis in 1:35 scale from the maker Zvezda. The model combines a detailed cab and truck bed with the traversing pack of launch tubes at the rear of the vehicle.
The BM-21 Grad is a Soviet 122 mm rocket launcher with forty launch tubes, taken into service in the 1960s. A single salvo covers a large area and the system became one of the most widespread artillery weapons of its category in the world. It is carried by the three-axle cross-country Ural-4320 truck with a diesel engine and all-wheel drive, which gives it good mobility in heavy terrain. The crew aims the whole vehicle roughly by turning the bed and makes the fine adjustment with the sighting gear of the tube pack; moving between firing positions is fast thanks to the truck chassis.
First finish the chassis, the axles and the drivetrain, and only then close up the bed and seat the pack of tubes. Paint the cab and its interior before glazing. For a faithful look reach for matte shades of Soviet green, use darker metallic tones on the tube pack and finish with dust and mud effects applied with washes and pigments, above all on the wheel arches and the lower parts of the vehicle. Bring out the tires and the exhaust stains with darker pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
