1:35 BMPT-72 Terminator II Splinter Camo Paint Masks RAE 2013 is a two-sheet set of masks for the angular camouflage of the tank support combat vehicle. It was made by the DN Models brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The angular, or splinter, pattern stands on long straight edges that have to carry over along the whole length of the vehicle. Masking by hand fails here at the very first transition between the hull and the turret. The package therefore contains two sheets of pieces cut exactly to the finish the vehicle wore when presented in September 2013.
The BMPT-72 is a tank support combat vehicle from the Ural arms works, built on the proven chassis of the T-72. Its task is to cover tank units against infantry with antitank weapons, for which it carries a pair of 30 mm autocannons and launch containers for guided missiles. The low-silhouette turret received armored covers for the launchers. The machine showed itself to the public in this form at the arms expo at Nizhny Tagil.
Apply extensive areas from the middle toward the edges, so that no air bubble is left under a piece. On this vehicle the continuity of the edges across the fenders and the side skirts has to be watched, so spread the whole sheet out dry first and check where each piece belongs. Remove them slowly and at a shallow angle back over themselves, so that the finish under the edge does not crack.
Neither the vehicle nor paints are in the package.
