A resin replacement turret from PANZER ART in 1:35 scale for the British Sherman tank with the 75 mm gun, made with improvised camouflage of hessian, the hessian net. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The turret captures the hessian net faithfully, the one British crews stretched over the turret to break up the outline of the vehicle and to blend it into the ground better.
The Sherman in the version with the 75 mm gun was the backbone of British armored units in the Second World War. Crews often completed the vehicle with field fittings, camouflage of hessian stretched over the turret among them. Improvised camouflage like this is a prominent and characteristic feature of British equipment.
Wash the parts free of release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a sharp knife and fit the turret to the hull. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding resin. The hessian net comes out in matte earthy shades, with shading in the recesses and a fine dusting with pigments.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, the glue or the paints. It is intended for completing a kit you already have.
