Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Soviet BT-7 fast light tank in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The BT-7 belonged to the series of so-called fast tanks (BT) built on the Christie type of chassis, which became famous for their high mobility. The kit offers faithful shapes for the hull and the turret and lets the model be built out of the box. The finished model is roughly 16 cm long.
The BT-7 of the mid-1930s was the development successor of the BT-5. Compared with its predecessor it was given a more powerful drive, better riding qualities and strengthened armor. It was armed with a gun of 45 mm caliber and machine guns and was intended to fight infantry and light tanks. The BT fast tanks were among the fastest in the world in their day and formed the backbone of Soviet mechanized units at the start of the Second World War.
We recommend building in subassemblies and finishing the running gear first. The model will stand out in Soviet dark green with dry-brushing on the edges and a wash into the recesses; pigments on the running gear will add realistic mud and dust effects. Take care with the fine suspension parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
