Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet BTR-60 armored personnel carrier in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The set is richly broken up, contains photo-etched parts and forming wire and makes it possible to build the BTR-60PU command version with a well rendered interior, radio sets and the equipment of a command post.
The BTR-60 is an eight-wheel (8x8) armored personnel carrier developed in the Soviet Union at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s as a swimming armored vehicle for carrying infantry. It was powered by a pair of gasoline engines and in the water it moved by a waterjet. The BTR-60PU command version served as a mobile command and signals post and carried extensive radio equipment. The type spread to a number of armies and is among the best-known armored vehicles of the Cold War.
First assemble and check the running gear and the rich interior; paint and weather the interior before you close the hull, because later it will be out of reach. It is advisable to glue the wheels and the rubber tires on only after the base shade has been sprayed. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, prime the whole model and paint with an airbrush. The final look is completed by a dark wash in the recesses and the rivets, edges picked out with a dry brush and dust or mud effects with pigments on the lower hull and the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
