An injection-molded plastic kit of the Büssing-NAG 4500A (late version) in 1:35 scale from IBG Models: the heavy German truck of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy German Büssing-NAG 4500A truck in its late form, in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer IBG Models. The model captures the version with drop sides on the cargo bed (stake body) and offers richly broken-up plastic parts, decals and illustrated instructions. The late variant differs from the early one in the simplified, wartime-rationalized elements of the body and the cab.
Büssing-NAG was one of the oldest German truck manufacturers. The 4500A type was a heavy truck with all-wheel drive, used by the Wehrmacht to carry cargo and troops on the Eastern as well as the Western Front. Its robust construction and decent cross-country ability made it one of the basic transport vehicles of the German army.
Work in subassemblies: first the running gear, the engine and the chassis, and only then the cab and the cargo bed. Use thin cement for plastic and bond the small details with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush; dark gray or the later dark yellow with camouflage is typical. Emphasize the plank texture of the bed with a wash and weather the underside with dust and mud pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
