This item is an accessory set for a model of the Italian Carro Armato L6 light tank, not a model of the vehicle on its own. On small tanks the external load shows up particularly well, because the proportion between the baggage and the hull is different from that on heavy vehicles and even a few secured pieces of kit will change the silhouette markedly. The set is in 1:35.
The Carro Armato L6 was an Italian light tank developed at the end of the 1930s from a line of light tracked vehicles and taken into service at the start of the Second World War. It had a powered turret with small-caliber rapid-fire armament and was intended mainly for reconnaissance and escort duties, because it did not stand up to the medium tanks of its day. It was used in North Africa, in the Balkans and on the Eastern Front, and its chassis also served as the basis for a self-propelled gun.
Italian vehicles offer everything from single-color sand finishes to striking multicolored camouflage, so the choice of scheme determines the overall impression. It pays to paint the accessories in muted textile and leather shades, so that they work as a quiet area against a more varied hull. A dark wash will bring out the rivets and the gaps, a dry brush the edges, and light dust on the running gear and the lower surfaces will pull the whole together.
