A set for modelers who are fine-tuning the side of the hull on the Pz.Kpfw IV tank in 1:35 scale. It combines return rollers with a support of the cast rendition and the fourth place in the numbered subseries belongs to it. The choice of number is up to you and it should rest on a photograph or a drawing of the vehicle you are building.
The side of the Panzer IV belongs among the most frequently photographed views, because the running gear, the fender and the stowed tools all meet there. The return rollers lie above the road wheels, and if the vehicle does not have Schürzen fitted, they create a regular rhythm when seen from the side. When one of them is out of line or sits higher than the others, the eye registers it sooner than any other inaccuracy. That is exactly why it pays to fit replacement supports slowly and with checking.
Remove the original parts, sand the surface down and leave yourself a fine scribed line on the hull as a guide. Offer the supports up dry and look at the finished row against the light: unevenness shows up immediately in backlight. Fit the track only once everything has dried. When painting, leave the roller a shade lighter than the hull, so that it is not lost in the deep shadow under the superstructure, and accentuate the edges with a dry brush.
