A detail set of assemblable individual track links (the T-144 type, double pin version) in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. It is not a tank model, but an accessory that replaces the tracks from the boxed kit with truer individual links. The set is made for the British Churchill Mk.III infantry tank.
The Churchill was a British heavy infantry tank of the Second World War, known for its heavy armor and its ability to cross difficult ground. The T-144 track type was among the variants used on these vehicles. Faithful assemblable tracks markedly raise the realism of the running gear, which on a tank model is very much on view.
Clean the individual links of casting flash and assemble them as the instructions describe; the double pin construction allows a realistic sag of the track over the road wheels. Glue the tracks with a suitable plastic cement, and before fitting them to the model paint them and treat them with pigments and a wash for the effect of muddy metal. Finish the work only once the running gear is complete.
This is a detail accessory, not the tank model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
