This resin accessory in 1:35 scale is not a model in its own right but a set of parts reproducing the improvised concrete armor laid onto the Sherman M4A3 medium tank. The set gives the vehicle the characteristic coarse surface that crews created in field conditions to raise their protection.
The M4A3 was the American variant of the Sherman tank powered by the Ford GAA gasoline engine. Crews often reinforced the front of the hull and the turret with concrete, timber or sandbags as added protection against antitank rounds. These fittings differed from one vehicle to the next and they are a rewarding subject for making a model individual.
Wash the resin parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding. You will bring out the coarse texture of the concrete with light shades, a dry brush and filters.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
