This turned metal part from Eduard replaces the plastic barrel of the main gun on a model of the British Crusader Mk.II cruiser tank in 1:35 scale. The metal barrel is perfectly round, free of mold seams and has an accurately made muzzle. It is neither a model nor a kit; it is an accurate replacement part for raising realism.
The Crusader was a British cruiser, that is fast, tank of the Second World War, used above all in North Africa. The Mk.II version carried a 2-pounder gun of 40 mm caliber; high speed and a low hull silhouette were typical of it.
The turned metal part is fitted in place of the plastic barrel once the original has been cut off; it is glued with super glue, which holds on metal more reliably than ordinary cement for plastic. Before painting it is a good idea to degrease the surface and give it a primer for good adhesion. An accurate metal barrel does away with the typical shortcomings of plastic parts.
This is a detailing accessory, not a model. The plastic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
