This is not a kit but a resin detail accessory for models of the self-propelled howitzer StuH 42 on the StuG III chassis in 1:35 scale. According to the name the set is intended for the late guise of the Ausf. G version and the contents of the package are enough for four vehicles.
The StuH 42 was based on the casemate of the StuG III assault gun, into which a 10.5 cm howitzer was fitted in place of the gun. The Ausf. G version was built the longest and went through a range of partial changes during production, so late examples differ from earlier ones in small elements of the casemate and the superstructure. It is precisely at these differences that detail sets are aimed, because kits as a rule offer one averaged guise.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent to remove mold release agent residue, otherwise primer will not hold on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the area with a file; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate and seat the parts only after the fit has been checked dry. Paint over a primer, then bring out the walking and handling surfaces with a dark wash and drybrushing. Pigments for dust and mud effects suit the lower part of the casemate and the running gear.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
