An accessory set from Black Dog for a model of the Fennek light armored reconnaissance vehicle in the Dutch version, scale 1:35. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory that is added to a model and brings it closer to the shape of the machine in the field. The manufacturer gives the make-up of the package.
The Fennek is a four-wheeled light armored reconnaissance vehicle that came about from a joint German and Dutch program and entered service at the start of this century. It is built for quiet, inconspicuous reconnaissance: a low silhouette, an extending sensor mast and a crew of three. The Dutch and German versions differ in their kit and weapon fit, because each army brought requirements of its own. Vehicles of both users were deployed on overseas operations, where they routinely carried the crew's kit and material for several days of work.
On a reconnaissance vehicle, a load that is orderly but irregular looks best, since the crew fastens things where they do not get in the way of visibility or of the sensors. Keep the shades of the kit away from the exact tone of the body so that the items stand apart. Dutch vehicles carry muted green as well as a desert scheme, depending on the deployment. Dust applied at the end over both the vehicle and the accessories will tie the whole together.
