An add-on set of wheels for a model of the Fennek light armored reconnaissance car in 1:35 from the Czech manufacturer Black Dog. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a separate accessory with which you replace the wheels out of the box and give the model a more convincing shape and tire texture.
The Fennek, in full a light armored reconnaissance car, came about in cooperation between German and Dutch industry and has served in both armies since the turn of the millennium. It is a low four-wheeled vehicle built above all for covert reconnaissance: it has quiet running, a low silhouette and an extending observation head with sensors, thanks to which the crew can watch the surroundings from cover. The vehicle was used on overseas missions, among them Afghanistan, and what sets it apart from other modern armored vehicles at first glance is exactly its massive wheels with their off-road tread, which make up a conspicuous part of its appearance.
First compare the size of the wheels with the parts of the kit and with the mounting of the axles, so that the model does not stand higher or lower than it should. Rinse the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent, let them dry and apply a good primer. Do not paint the tires pure black; dark gray with a veil of dust looks better. Bring out the tread with a dry brush and lightly dust the sidewalls with pigment according to the setting you are placing the model in.
This is an add-on set, not a model on its own. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
