An injection-molded plastic kit of the M270/A1 self-propelled rocket launcher (Multiple Launch Rocket System) in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter, in the version operated among others in Finland and the Netherlands. The model captures the tracked chassis and the rotating launcher superstructure with the containers for the rockets. The package contains injection-molded plastic parts; the exact contents are stated by the manufacturer.
The M270 MLRS is an American self-propelled rocket launcher on a tracked chassis derived from an infantry fighting vehicle. It serves for salvo fire with guided as well as unguided rockets over great distances. The modernized A1 version brought an improved fire control system. The system is used by a number of armies, including the Finnish and the Dutch one.
We recommend finishing the running gear before assembling the hull and the superstructure. Glue the parts with cement for plastic. For a faithful look an airbrush works well for the base camouflage, followed by washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
