Flak 38 – the German 2 cm anti-aircraft gun 1:35 (Trumpeter) is a plastic kit of one of the most widespread light anti-aircraft guns of the Second World War.

An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter representing the German 2 cm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun. The package holds parts on several sprues, photo-etched parts for the thin details and a decal sheet. The model can be built with the mount spread in the firing position, including the sight and the folding sides of the platform.
The 20 mm Flak 38 was among the most numerous German weapons of the Second World War. It served against low-flying aircraft, but it also found use against light ground targets. It came from the earlier Flak 30, but it had a higher rate of fire and was more reliable. It was used on a single-barrel mount, on trailers and on a range of vehicles and vessels.
This is a gun, not a vehicle – watch the exact fit of the fine parts of the mount, the sight and the folding platform. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic and spray the gun barrel and the mechanisms with an airbrush once the primer is down. Bring out the metal parts with a dark wash and a light drybrush and suggest dust and dirt with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
