Turned barrels for the Flakvierling 38 antiaircraft quadruple mount in 1:35 scale from the brand PANZER ART. The set of four barrels with weapon bodies is an accessory for a part-built model, not a stand-alone kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
According to the name, this set from the brand PANZER ART holds four barrels with weapon bodies for the Flakvierling 38 antiaircraft quadruple mount. It is an accessory for a base kit, not a model that could be built on its own. The turned barrels replace the plastic parts and bring a precise circular cross-section and a clean muzzle, which cannot be achieved with plastic injected in a split mold.
The Flakvierling 38 is a German four-barreled antiaircraft weapon of 2 cm caliber from the Second World War period. It was fielded on a towed carriage as well as installed on trucks, half-tracked tractors and tank chassis, so it suits a whole range of hardware models in 1:35 scale. The four barrels in a common mounting are characteristic of this weapon and on a finished model it is one of the most closely watched details.
Cut the plastic barrels off as close to the mount as possible and level the mating surface with a file, so that the new parts sit on the centerline. Degrease the turned parts before gluing and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for polystyrene will not hold on them. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint adheres badly to the smooth surface. Leave the muzzles of the barrels dark and bring the edges of the body out with a light dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
