An injection-molded plastic kit of the British heavy tank FV214 Conqueror Mk I in 1:35 scale from Amusing Hobby. The box holds plastic sprues, a photo-etched sheet and decals. Individual track links that make building the running gear easier are included. The model has no clear parts.
The Conqueror was a British heavy tank introduced in the 1950s as a counterweight to the Soviet heavy tanks. Its main armament was a massive 120 mm gun intended to destroy armored targets at long range. The Mk I version was built in limited numbers only; the Conquerors served with the British forces in West Germany until rearmed Centurions replaced them. It was one of the heaviest tanks of its day.
Work with liquid cement for plastic and take care to seat the bulky hull and the large turret cleanly. It is best to paint the individual track links separately. Finish the running gear and the interior of the lower part before closing up the hull. A single-color green camouflage suits British postwar vehicles, with the panels picked out by a wash and fine dust pigments added.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
