Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of reinforced wheels of the so-called naval type for the Garford-Putilov armored car in 1:35 scale. This is not a separate model of the vehicle but an extra from the accessory range of Copper State Models itself, which replaces the standard wheels in the kits of this machine and makes it possible to build a differently equipped example.
The Garford-Putilov was among the heaviest armored cars of the First World War. The Putilov works in St. Petersburg built it from 1915 on the chassis of American Garford trucks, and part of the production was taken over by the Imperial Russian Navy. The machines of the naval series differed from the army ones in a number of details, and it is precisely the reinforced wheels, which bore the enormous weight of the armor and the armament better, that are one of their recognition marks. Anyone who wants to portray a particular surviving machine should always compare the form of the wheels with a period photograph.
Separate the castings from the casting blocks with a fine saw and level the cut surface with abrasive paper; protect your airways when sanding resin. Before painting, bathe the parts briefly in warm water with detergent, so that the paint holds well. Set the tires apart with a dark gray shade and lighten the edges of the wheels slightly, and the disc will stand out beautifully.
