A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks in 1:35 scale for the Soviet off-road truck GAZ-66. According to the name this is the double-sided version, that is masks for both sides of the masked parts: on the glazing that means the framing comes out crisp from outside and from inside the cab alike. It is not a kit, but an accessory for a model.
The GAZ-66 is a two-ton off-road truck with drive to all wheels, produced from the middle of the 1960s. Its recognition mark is the cab set over the engine, thanks to which the vehicle has a short front overhang and exceptional going over rough ground. The vehicle was used in civilian and military service in a whole range of bodies. For a modeler the most demanding parts are precisely the glazed cab with its thin framing and the large off-road wheels with their prominent discs.
Never glue clear parts with cyanoacrylate, because the fumes will fog them. Use glue for clear parts, or liquid cement spotted on away from the visible surface. Press the mask on the glass down all around with a toothpick and spray thin coats; do double-sided masking in the order inside, drying, outside. Spray the tires in dark gray instead of pure black. Peel the mask off slowly at a sharp angle, while the paint is fresh.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
