A plastic set of figures of the German mountain troops (Gebirgsjäger) of the 13th Mountain Division in 1:35 scale. The set contains four figures in period uniforms and with field equipment, suitable for bringing dioramas to life and for a display case of their own. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the exact poses and weapons are given by the instructions in the package.
The mountain divisions of the German army were trained and equipped for fighting in mountainous and hard to reach terrain. The soldiers wore the characteristic mountain cap, boots with hobnailed soles and lighter field equipment suited to moving in the mountains. They were committed on broken fronts where ordinary infantry units ran into difficult terrain and poor access.
Glue the figures with thin cement for plastic and clean the parting lines up carefully. Paint the uniforms in field gray green and khaki tones, grade the camouflage elements and build the faces up in layers from a darker base. A wash in the folds and light drybrushing on the edges of the equipment give the figures depth and relief.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
