An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.7/1 half-track tractor with a quadruple anti-aircraft cannon in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the combination of a half-track chassis and a mount with four automatic cannons of 20 mm caliber. The package holds parts in gray plastic, photo-etched sheet additions, clear parts and individual track links.
The Sd.Kfz.7/1 came about by fitting the proven German half-track tractor with the quadruple Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft cannon of 20 mm caliber. The combination gave mobile air defense and effective fire against ground targets as well. The vehicle was among the widespread German anti-aircraft assets of the Second World War.
Assemble the running gear and the individual track links in shorter runs. Leave the assembly of the cannon and its mount until the end, so that it paints more easily. Lay the base on with an airbrush over primer, and you will create the weathering with washes and pigments. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
