An injection-molded plastic kit of the German three-ton truck with 4x2 drive carrying a 2cm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun on its bed, in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Dragon. It is a 2 in 1 release from the Smart Kit line - the parts can be used to build either an ordinary cargo truck or the variant with the anti-aircraft gun on the cargo bed. A complete engine, cab doors and hood panels that can be opened and drop sides for the bed are enclosed.
Three-ton 4x2 trucks were among the most widespread means of transport of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War and were built in large numbers. Besides carrying troops and materiel they also served as mobile firing platforms. The 2cm Flak 38 gun was a quick-firing anti-aircraft automatic weapon which, thanks to the ability to depress the barrel, was used against low-flying aircraft as well as against ground targets.
First assemble and paint the engine and the interior of the cab before you close them up. Use liquid cement on the plastic and separate the fine parts of the gun and its mounting carefully. Apply a primer before the finish and spray the paints with an airbrush. The bed and the gun will stand out once dark washes have been applied to the detail, with pigments for dust and mud on the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
