Schwerer Plattformwagen Type Ssys 1:35 from Sabre Model is a plastic kit of the German four-axle railway transport car with metal wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Type Ssys heavy railway flatcar in 1:35 scale from Sabre Model, in the version with metal wheels. It is a four-axle car with a load capacity of around fifty tons, which during the Second World War served to carry tanks and heavy equipment. The kit offers turned metal wheel sets, movable wheel mountings and two variants of the car's state.
Type Ssys flatcars were the backbone of rail transport for German armored vehicles. Tanks and other vehicles were moved on their load beds between the fronts and the rear, because moving them under their own power would have worn the vehicles out excessively. The sturdy four-axle structure took the weight of medium and heavy tanks alike.
Assemble the frame and the running gear carefully so that the car stands level and the wheels can turn. Degrease the metal wheels before gluing. An airbrush suits the railway black or gray; rust, grease and deposits of dirt on the load bed are typical, and you can build them up with washes, pigments and edge rubbing. The car works superbly as a base for a loaded tank in a diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
