Panda 1:35 Husky Mk.III VMMD with GPRS is a plastic kit of a specialized vehicle for detecting mines and improvised explosive devices.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Panda. The model captures the single-seat Husky Mk.III VMMD (Vehicle Mounted Mine Detector) fitted with the GPRS system, a ground-penetrating radar for surveying buried objects.
The Husky VMMD is a rugged vehicle for detecting mines and improvised explosive devices that came about in South Africa and proved itself in clearing routes. The structure is blast resistant, survives a hit and can be repaired in the field, and many examples carry a GPRS ground-penetrating radar extended ahead of the vehicle to reveal buried charges. The Mk.III version was adopted among others by the US Army.
Before the hull is closed up it is a good idea to paint the cab and the chassis. We recommend thin cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. The characteristic detection arms and the radar call for careful assembly; washes and pigments with dust effects suit the weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
