A set of add-on armor in 1:35 scale for the kit of the Israeli armored personnel carrier Zelda from Academy in the Nagman II version.
Responsibility details are not available.
A conversion set in 1:35 scale which turns the kit of the armored personnel carrier of the M113 series from Academy into the Israeli modification Nagman II. Zelda is the Israeli nickname for the carriers of this series. The set adds external armor elements; the vehicle itself is not in it.
The Israeli army operated M113 carriers for decades and modified them continually according to the experience of fighting in built-up terrain. A whole series of superstructures came about in this way, with additional armor on the hull, shields around the gun stations and a protected compartment for the commander. The machines served mainly on the northern border and in the urban setting, where fire from the immediate vicinity threatened and where the original aluminum hull stopped being enough.
Conversions of this kind call for patient fitting: level the mating surfaces on sandpaper laid on glass and attach the parts at first only at points, so that you can correct the position. Israeli vehicles carry a light gray-green tone, on which dust and a scuffed edge of armor stand out nicely. Concentrate especially on the area around the hatches, which the crew climbed over most often.
What you are buying is a supplementary set that will enrich a finished Academy kit; paints and glue are not held in it.
