An injection-molded plastic kit of the German IF.5 Maschinengewehrwagen 36 horse-drawn machine gun wagon in 1:35 scale from Riich Models. The set holds plastic parts on sprues, the parts of the weapon, two horses, crew figures, photo-etched parts, decals and instructions.
The IF.5 was a four-wheeled horse-drawn wagon used by the German army in the Second World War, and it carried a Zwillingssockellafette 36 twin mount with coupled 7.92 mm machine guns. The front of the wagon carried spare parts and ammunition, and in normal service a pair of horses pulled it. These wagons were used mainly by infantry units.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid polystyrene cement; glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the wagon, the weapon, the figures and the horses separately and put them together once they are painted. Prime the surface before painting, work the figures up with glazes and add washes and pigments to the wagon for a convincing look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
