FineMolds 1:35 Imperial Japanese Army Military Horse-Drawn Cart Type 39 Transport Cart Ko is a plastic kit of the Japanese army supply cart.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from the Japanese brand FineMolds brings a means of transport that did an enormous amount of work on the battlefields of the Second World War, and that almost nobody builds as a model all the same. It is a drawn cart of the kind the Imperial Japanese Army used to bring up ammunition, food and materiel where a truck could not get.
The Japanese army relied on horse traction far longer than most of its opponents. In the mountainous regions of China and in the terrain of the Pacific islands such a cart was often the only reliable means of transport, and its crew belonged to the least visible but essential part of a fighting formation. The number in the designation refers to the Japanese dating of the year of introduction, and the character at the end of the name distinguishes the particular form of the vehicle.
FineMolds has a reputation for very fine moldings, so separate the parts with a saw or a cutter, not with blunt pliers. The wooden parts come out splendidly with oil paints spread in the direction of the grain. The iron hoops and the joining elements will take a darker shade with a hint of rust. A film of dust on the underside and on the wheels will give the result credibility.
The contents of the package are unassembled plastic parts; paints and glue are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
