An injection-molded plastic kit of the German tank destroyer Jagdpanther in its late production version in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The model captures the late production form of the vehicle and offers well detailed fighting compartment and armament. A commander figure is usually included. The model suits less experienced builders as well, thanks to the precise fit of the parts typical of Tamiya.
The Jagdpanther was among the best regarded German tank destroyers of the Second World War. It was based on the proven chassis of the Panther medium tank, on which a fixed armored casemate with a powerful 88 mm gun was built. The combination of strong frontal armor, good mobility and a hard-hitting gun made it a dangerous opponent for Allied tanks. The late version differed from the early one in a number of production details.
First finish the running gear and the details of the fighting compartment before you close the hull. Fit the tracks (on this kind of kit they are usually rubber) only after the running gear has been painted. Spray the base coat with an airbrush, lay out the camouflage according to the scheme you choose and finish the surface with washes, filters and pigments for mud and dust effects. Bring out the exhausts and the tools on the hull with drybrushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
