The set contains twenty-eight white metal road wheels in 1:35 scale for Soviet heavy tanks of the JS family and the self-propelled howitzers derived from them. It suits models of the JS-1, JS-2 and JS-3 as well as the heavy self-propelled guns designated JS-122 and JS-152, which share the same running gear. The accurate metal castings reproduce the pressed disc with its lightening holes faithfully and replace the plastic parts from the kit; the weight of the metal gives the running gear rigidity and better detail. The maker is Friulmodel, a specialist in metal wheels and tracks.
Clean the wheels of flash and casting residue and fit them onto the axles of the running gear; they are glued with cyanoacrylate (superglue). For better paint adhesion, spray the metal with a primer suited to metal or blacken it chemically. Bring the discs into the shade of the vehicle, add wear and a hint of metallic sheen on the contact surfaces and finish the whole running gear off with dust and mud.
This is a metal accessory to a model, not a complete kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
