Trumpeter 1:35 KARL tracks for the Mörser Karl 040/041 is a set of plastic links of the late type for assembling a workable track for the German siege mortar.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains the individual plastic links from which you assemble a workable track of the late type. It is intended for the Trumpeter kits of the German self-propelled siege mortar Karl 040/041 and faithfully replaces the massive tracks of this giant machine.
The Karl 040/041 was a German self-propelled siege mortar of the Second World War and one of the heaviest self-propelled guns ever built. Its large-caliber rounds destroyed fortifications and city buildings. Because of its extreme weight the machine was moved by rail, and in the field it ran on a wide tracked chassis whose links the set reproduces exactly.
Separate the links from the gates, clean them up and join them one after another; keep the track workable until the glue sets, so that it beds down on the wheels. Use liquid polystyrene cement. Given the bulk of the track, weathering comes into its own: dark washes in the recesses, metallic edges from a dry brush and a heavy layer of dust pigments underline the weight of the machine.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
