Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German heavy tank Tiger II, nicknamed the King Tiger or Königstiger, in 1:35 scale. The model captures the configuration with the production Henschel turret with faithfully rendered welds and with details such as the gun breech and the ammunition racks. The hatches can be built open or closed. A figure and accessories, for example spare track links, are usually included; the tracks are of the belt type in a paintable material. The model is meant to be assembled and painted.
The Tiger II was the heaviest German tank to see series service in the Second World War. It combined strong, well sloped frontal armor with the outstanding 88 mm KwK 43 gun with its long barrel, which could destroy Allied tanks at great range. It was powered by a Maybach HL230 engine. The first examples built carried a turret designed under the influence of Porsche, but the overwhelming majority of production vehicles received the reworked Henschel turret, which is the one this model represents. The tank went into action in 1944.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. Finish and paint the running gear with its large road wheels and the tracks before you close up the hull, as the track run is then easier to reach. Treat the surface with a primer and apply the multi-color camouflage schemes (Dunkelgelb with green and brown fields) with an airbrush. Washes will bring out the welds and the detail, and pigments will create mud and dust effects on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
