An extensive injection-molded plastic kit of the KrAZ-260B heavy off-road tractor in the 6x4 configuration together with the heavy MAZ/ChMZAP-5247G semitrailer intended for transporting armored vehicles. The set contains several hundred parts on a number of sprues, including a detailed cab and chassis, and is supplemented with photo-etched parts. Take the exact numbers from the instructions.
The KrAZ-260 is a Soviet and later Russian heavy truck for extreme terrain. The 260B variant serves as a tractor unit with a longer wheelbase and a fifth wheel coupling for pulling heavy semitrailers. Combined with the low-bed ChMZAP semitrailer it is used for long-distance logistics and for moving tanks and other tracked vehicles.
Assemble the drivetrain and the chassis first, and only then close up the frame. The hollow rubber tires follow the real tread pattern. For a faithful look we recommend a primer base, an airbrushed coat and weathering with mud, dust and washes run into the recesses.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
